Our Story · Cairo · MMXXVI
“Born again” isn’t a slogan — it’s the week when the linen hangs right and the cotton stops sticking.

Where
Renée was started by Ahmed Omar and Youssef Omar in a small studio in Obour City, on the edge of Cairo. Every piece is pattern-cut, washed, and finished on the same block.
How
Cottons sourced from the Mahalla cooperative. Twills cut on a single Juki, snap-set in the back of the studio, washed in a salt soak before they leave the block. Drop 01 is forty pieces a week — slow, on purpose.
Why
Cairo dresses for fall in pieces — the city pulling its sleeves down, the dust in the wind softening the city's edges. Renée makes for that exact week. Drop 01 is everything we made before the wind picked up again.
